This week will begin a series on shadows. I like how, in harsh light, shadows can act as nature's graphic design, creating clean, strong, simple outlines of actual items, communicating the "idea" of a real world object through solid color and simplicity. Well done nature.

Exploring the (photoblog) World: Alakija
I've recently discovered his site and find the discussions fostered in his comments section be be almost as interesting as the photos themselves.

Clever composition! I really like the tones here too.. how it seems as if there are about 4 or 5 greys total in the entire image.
