This weeks theme is signs in black and white. Shooting film is so rare anymore that if I have a shot, I like to keep as much of the "film" as possible, therefore I almost always keep the negative border.
My wife reminded me this weekend that I've strayed a little on this sight from the tagline "Images of the Urban Everyday", the whole feeling the title "Concrete & Coffee" is supposed to evoke. So consider this my return.

Nice return it is.  I'm looking forward to all these signs; they're fun to capture.  Great shot; vertical format was definitely a wise choice.  Regards, Brent

Re: Sidewalk Closed (SignsInBW #1)
I always feel a certain sadness when I see a building demolished.  I imagine its original builders, so proud of what they'd finished, only to have it demolished years later, probably after their death.  But I guess new buildings will be "born" to take its place... or hang on... maybe I just need to look more closely at the photo.  That's a sidewalk that's been torn up, not a building!  What am I doing on a building rant?  I'm delightfully absent-minded.  :D

Well, it's a nice photo, regardless! ;P
